Rams face off with Gryphons in mid-week home game
TORONTO - On Thursday, Oct. 25 the No. 10 ranked Ryerson Rams women’s hockey team will take the ice at home for the second time this season when they face off against the Guelph Gryphons.
Ryerson is coming off an action-packed weekend which had them travel to Nipissing and Laurentian. The travel didn’t affect the Rams and they walked away from the weekend with five out of a possible six points.
Guelph comes into this game 0-1-1 on the season. After their two games, the Gryphons sit with four goals for and four goals against.
Ryerson and Guelph split the season series last year with both teams stealing a win on the road.
Over their first three games the Rams have scored double the amount of goals they’ve given up, having given up just six goals, while netting 12 of their own.
The 12 goals for the Rams are a league high, and the high total of goals hasn’t been led by just one or two players. Ryerson has had seven players chip in with a goal. This is an encouraging start to the season after losing three of their top six point getters from the 2017-2018 season.
After a tough weekend on the road the Rams will be playing their third game in seven days, but with this being their only game of the week, look for them to empty the tank trying to get another win under their belt.
