Western shutouts Rams to claim OUA bronze

OTTAWA, Ont. - The Ryerson Rams men's soccer team ended its season with a 3-0 loss to the Western Mustangs in bronze medal game at the OUA Final Four on Saturday in Ottawa.

Belal Halbouni opened the scoring for Western with a one-touch finish to give the Mustangs the first-half cushion. Mark Serjeant scored a pair of goals in the second half to seal it for Western.

The Rams, who finished the year with a 14-1-1 record, entered the Final Four as the No. 2 seed in the East. In the semifinals on Friday, the Rams fell 1-0 to the top seed in the East and eventual champion York Lions. York defeated Carleton 3-1 in the championship final.
