By Andrea Elliott

TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams are pleased to announce the following student-athletes as the Stars of the Week, ending November 4th.

Katherine Follis - Basketball - 4th Year - RTA: Sport Media
Making her second and third starts of the season, Follis turned in two solid performances this week as the women's basketball team posted a 2-0 record. On Wednesday night, Follis scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds in 19 minutes in a win over Guelph. She followed that with a seven point, eight rebound performance on Saturday in 18 minutes in Ryerson's win over Algoma. Follis shot over 55% from the floor for the week.

Lauren Veltman - Volleyball - 3rd Year - Child & Youth Care
The third year outside hitter turned in a stellar performance on Friday night, leading the team with 16 kills and 12 digs as the Rams came from behind to defeat Queen's 3-2 and keep their unbeaten streak alive. Veltman had most of Saturday night off, but came in off the bench for one set and contributed four kills and three digs as the Rams swept RMC. Her average of 3.20 kills per set leads the team and ranks her ninth in the conference.

Fanny Vigeant - Hockey - 3rd Year - Early Childhood Studies
Vigeant picked up  her second win of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Rams beat Brock in a shootout. Vigeant stopped 19-of-21 shots faced in regulation and overtime before stopping all three Badgers skaters in the shootout.

Taylor Dupuis - Hockey - 4th Year - RTA: Sport Media
Dupuis got the start on back-to-back nights this week and backstopped the Rams to a pair of victories over two strong divisional opponents. On Thursday night, Dupuis made 22 saves in a 4-3 win over Brock. The following night the fourth year goalie stopped 29 shots as the Rams defeated York, 8-3. Dupuis is now 6-0 on the season. His six wins is tied for tops in the OUA, and he is one of only three goalies who remain with a winning percentage of 1.000.

Ali Ghazanfari - Soccer - 3rd Year - Civil Engineering
Going up against the No. 2 ranked team in the country and the defending OUA champions, Ghazanfari played his best game of the season in the OUA semifinal on Friday night. Ghazanfari stood tall in the Rams net, making 10 total saves - the most he's had to make all season long. Despite his best efforts, Ryerson dropped a 1-0 decision.

Tanor Ngom - Basketball - 2nd Year - Arts & Contemporary Studies
The second year forward had quite a week, posting a new career-high in points in back-to-back games. On Wednesday night, Ngom netted 17 points to top his previous best of 16 in a game, and added 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the year. He then outdid himself with 24 points on Saturday with an efficient 11-for-14 shooting performance against Algoma. He was one rebound shy of his second double-double, with nine boards. Through three games this season, Ngom ranks third in field goal percentage (69.0%) and sixth in rebounds per game (8.3).
